[03-27-2022] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Man Injured After a Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 101

One unidentified man was injured after a wrong-way crash near TV Tower Road on Sunday morning, March 27, 2022.

The major accident occurred on Highway 101 near TV Tower Road at approximately 5:15 a.m.

A northbound Dodge Challenger was traveling in the southbound lanes on Highway 101 and collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota 4Runner.

The Toyota driver was injured and rushed to an area hospital for treatment in the crash. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Dodge Driver was determined to be under the influence at the time of the accident.

The Dodge Challenger driver was identified as 21-year-old David L. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Another vehicle was hit by the debris from the crash, causing minor injuries. The identities of the other parties involved have not been disclosed.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
