[03-28-2022] Kern County, CA – One Person Killed After a Deadly Head-On Crash in Bakersfield

An unidentified woman was killed following a deadly head-on crash in Bakersfield on Monday afternoon, March 28, 2022.

[03-28-2022] Kern County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly Head-On Crash in BakersfieldThe fatal collision transpired at approximately 12:20 p.m. on South Lake Road, north of Gardner Field Road.

A northbound 2012 Acura was traveling on Lake Road when it made an unsafe turn to the left and directly went into the path o a northbound 2002 Chevrolet on Lake Road.

The two vehicles then collided head-on. The 31-year-old Acura driver was unfortunately killed in the crash. A passenger in the Acura and the Chevrolet driver sustained major injuries in the crash and were rushed to Kern Medical for treatment.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
