[03-28-2022] San Diego County, CA - One Person Hurt Following a Hit-and-Run Rollover Crash in Chula VistaAt least one person was hurt after a traffic crash involving a hit-and-run driver on Broadway on Monday morning, March 28, 2022.

The traffic crash happened on the 500n block of Broadway in Chula Vista at approximately 12:45 a.m.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into the front of a white Kia sedan for unclear reasons. Due to the severity of the impact, the Jeep driver lost control and overturned multiple times before landing on its roof.

The SUV driver did not stop to wait for authorities and ran away from his vehicle and left his passenger. The identity of the SUV driver is currently unknown.

Police found a box of beer and empty bottles inside the Jeep. An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
