[05-05-2023] San Benito County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 25 and 156

A 31-year-old man from Salinas died, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in San Benito CountyA 31-year-old man from Salinas died, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in San Benito County on Friday morning, May 5, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. at Highway 25 and 156 near Hollister.

The report shows a two-vehicle crash involving a 2013 Toyota Corolla and a 2013 Ram 2500. The Corolla was traveling west on Highway 156 when it collided with the Ram at the intersection.

The Corolla’s driver died of a major head injury, while the female passenger sustained multiple lacerations. The Ram’s driver complained of minor chest pain but did not require hospitalization.

It is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the occurrence of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
