[05-20-2022] Yuba County, CA - One Person Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash North of MarysvilleAuthorities said a motorcyclist died after crossing into the opposite lane and colliding head-on with a pickup truck north of Marysville on Friday, May 20, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol Yuba-Sutter, the collision occurred on a Friday on Matthews Lane north of Woodruff Lane.

The motorcyclist was heading south on Matthews toward Woodruff when he veered into the northbound lane, directly in front of an oncoming Dodge truck.

According to the CHP, the motorcyclist collided with the truck’s left front end and was thrown onto the road.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, according to the CHP.

The truck’s driver was unharmed in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation, but authorities say drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role.
