The majority of pedestrian accidents are caused by driver negligence, speeding, and failure to yield the right of way. A knowledgeable lawyer’s advice is critical in these types of situations.

Pedestrians should cross streets only at crosswalks or intersections. Keep an eye out for cars going in all directions, including those turning left or right. If a crosswalk or intersection is not available, find a well-lit area with a good view of traffic. Wait for a gap in traffic that gives you enough time to cross safely; keep an eye out for traffic as you cross.
