[06-26-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Fatal High-Speed Collision in Bellflower: Woman Killed in Two-Car Crash as Suspects Attempted to Flee

One woman was killed following a high-speed collision in Bellflower on Monday night, June 26, 2023.

The sheriff’s deputies received a call about the collision at Rosecrans and Dunrobin Avenues intersection at 9:40 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered a black BMW sedan struck on the side by a Tesla. Inside the BMW, a female occupant was trapped and unresponsive. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead on the site.

According to the report, one of the male occupants of the Tesla fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, he was later observed returning to the crash site and was subsequently placed under arrest.

Another male occupant of the Tesla attempted to hide after the collision and was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. The two men are in sheriff’s custody.

The woman’s identity and the cause of the incident have not been disclosed.

The Lakewood sheriff’s deputies have closed the intersection for an indefinite period.

The incident is still under investigation.
