Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics

When three or more cars are in an accident simultaneously, this is called a “pile up.” Many people can get hurt or even die in these accidents, depending on the circumstances.

Especially on roads with a lot of traffic, it’s not unusual for three or more cars to crash into each other. When the wind moves cars around, they can hit each other from the side or even head-on.

It is thought that more than 13,000 people die yearly in multi-vehicle accidents involving passenger vehicles. This is more than 40% of all traffic deaths.

So, in many accidents with many cars, drivers don’t have enough time to avoid hitting the cars in front of them. When scared, drivers often swerve out of the way, slam on the brakes, and cause accidents.

When cars try to avoid crashes by swerving oncoming traffic, they often start even bigger chain reactions and pileups. This kind of car accident is usually the deadliest.

So they don’t have to go to court for a long time, insurance companies may offer smaller settlements hoping the victim will take them.

With the help of a good lawyer, you may get the most money out of your settlement, pay for your losses, and move on with your life.
