[08-25-2023] Ventura County, CA – Male Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Collision in Oxnard

A male pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision in Oxnard on Friday night, August 25, 2023.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the incident occurred in the 2800 block of East Vineyard Avenue, near the cross with Stroube Street, shortly before 11:25 p.m.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the El Rio neighborhood, and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Officials said the victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center via ambulance.
