[10-01-2022] Contra Costa County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Walnut Creek

According to the Walnut Creek Police Department (WCPD), A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred in Walnut Creek on Saturday evening, October 01, 2022.

The collision occurred around 7:00 p.m. on North California Boulevard and Civic Drive, four blocks south of the Walnut Creek BART station.

According to police, a vehicle struck a pedestrian as she attempted to cross North California Boulevard. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

According to WCPD, the suspect’s vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.

The vehicle is described as a four-door sedan in gold or tan.
