[10-01-2022] Couple Injured Following a Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 99According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver and a passenger were injured following a hit-and-run accident on Highway 99 West on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

The accident happened around 6:00 p.m.

The driver of a 2007 Pontiac G5 collided with the Toyota’s rear. According to the CHP, the Pontiac made a U-turn and fled the scene after colliding with the SUV.

According to the CHP, Barbara and Joe Everest, the couple inside the overturned vehicle, were taken to Enloe Hospital for minor injuries.

Police believe intoxication played a role in the collision.

According to the CHP, the Pontiac was last seen driving north on Highway 99 West.
