[10-04-2022] San Diego County, CA – Small Plane Crashed in Jamul

According to Cal Fire, a small plane crashed near Lyon’s Peak Road and Lyon’s Valley Road in East Jamul on Tuesday, October 04, 2022.

Cal Fire San Diego and the San Diego Sheriff’s Department are on the scene.

The FAA and NTSB have been dispatched to the scene to conduct an investigation.

The AESTRA helicopter hovered above the crash scene, reported a large debris field near the crash location, and hoisted a rescue team to inspect the wreckage and search for survivors.

The crash scene was described as a remote rocky area with rocky peaks and a valley that could only be reached by helicopter.

No other information was released.
