Two people were hurt after a train crash involving a semi-truck in San Pablo on Monday night, November 22, 2021.

A westbound Amtrak train crashed into a semi-truck that was stuck on the train tracks. The semi-truck was hauling five cars at the time of the crash.

Due to the severity of the impact, the debris from the collision flew several yards from the scene. The truck driver and train engineer sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

Fortunately, the 30 passengers inside the train were uninjured in the accident. Additional information about the crash is unavailable at the moment.

It’s unclear what caused the semi-truck to get stuck on the train tracks. An investigation of the accident is currently underway.
