[11-23-2022] Orange County, CA – Pedestrian Injured After Getting Hit by Vehicle in Anaheim Street Takeover

Authorities said a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Anaheim on Wednesday evening, November 23, 2022.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the South Rio Vista Street and East South Street intersection.

The vehicle reportedly was a part of a wild street takeover who fled the scene when the police arrived. A red Ford Mustang was first shown in video footage doing doughnuts in the intersection.

The authorities were able to apprehend the Mustang as it fled the scene. Another vehicle that tried to flee reportedly hit the man who was standing in the roadway.

The victim appeared to have suffered significant injuries and was rushed away in an ambulance.

No information was available regarding whether the driver had been arrested.
