An unidentified 41-year-old woman was killed while several others were hurt after a multi-vehicle crash in Belmont on early Thursday morning, November 25, 2021.
The thanksgiving crash transpired at approximately 3:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101 at Ralston Avenue.
Four vehicles were involved in the collision. The 41-year-old woman was driving a green 1991 Honda Accord on U.S. Highway 101; authorities suspect she may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident before the crash.
After the initial crash, the Honda was left disabled on the highway, causing the other vehicles to crash into it. A red 2019 Honda Clarity, a 2019 Mercedes Benz, and a 2013 Toyota Prius got involved in the multi-vehicle crash.
Unfortunately, despite the life-saving measures performed by emergency personnel on the 41-year-old woman, she could not survive her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several others were injured following the crash. They were all taken to local hospitals for treatment. The number of people injured and their identities have not been disclosed.
An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.
