According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. near 2050 S Workman Mill Road.

The crash involved two vehicles that were totally destroyed by the impact, with tons of broken debris along the road obstructing traffic.

A person was declared dead on the spot, and another was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim’s name has not been made public.

There are still a few details unknown, including what caused the fatal collision. The situation is still being looked into by the authorities.

Workman Mill Road between Pellissier Place and the 60 Freeway has been closed as crews try to clean the debris.
