An unidentified woman was seriously injured after a traffic crash involving a suspected DUI driver in Mission Beach on Saturday night, December 4, 2021.

A 54-year-old man headed east in the crosswalk when a northbound Jeep suddenly struck him on Mission Boulevard.

The pedestrian was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. He sustained major injuries, including a fractured pelvis.

Meanwhile, the driver that struck the pedestrian was arrested on DUI-related charges. She was uninjured in the crash.
