An unidentified person was seriously hurt following a major two-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Saturday morning, December 11, 2021. The accident transpired at approximately 9:22 a.m. on Summit Valley Road near Ranchero Road in Hesperia.
A Honda Pilot SUV and a Toyota Tercel collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established. One person was trapped in the Toyota following the collision.
Emergency personnel later extricated the trapped party and transported them to an area hospital. The trapped party sustained serious injuries and had to be airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
Meanwhile, a woman inside the SUV sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
An active investigation of the crash is currently underway. Local authorities will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
