[12-21-2022] San Bernardino County, CA – One Hospitalized in Critical Condition in Victorville Pedestrian Accident

Authorities reported that a pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition after getting hit by a vehicle in Victorville on Wednesday evening, December 21, 2022.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the pedestrian crash occurred around 5:44 p.m. in front of The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center at 14716 7th Street near Plaza Drive.

Responders from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies and Victorville Fire Department found the victim lying in the 7th Street westbound lanes after getting struck by a black 2015 Jeep Patriot.

The person was initially transported in serious condition to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and then flown via helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The driver of the Jeep, which received a damaged side-view mirror dangling from the driver’s side door, reportedly stayed on the scene and helped the authorities.

While investigating, deputies blocked off the area between Desert Knolls Drive and Plaza Drive. Further information was not immediately available.
