An unidentified 41-year-old man was killed following a deadly pedestrian crash in Winton on Monday morning, December 27, 2021.

The victim was pushing a shopping cart when he was suddenly struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado traveling at 25 mph.

The driver claimed that he was unable to see the man. The victim was wearing dark clothes at the time of the crash.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian could not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead. The involved driver remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the crash. An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
