Fatal Bicycle Accident Statistics

Bicycles are classified as vehicles under California law and are treated and are treated as such. As a result, bicyclists must drive as if they were in a car. Among other things, this means halting at stop signs and going the same direction as other traffic.
Like other vehicles, bicycles are entitled to the same protections under the law. Car drivers frequently ignore the rights of bicyclists and ride too closely or attempt to pass them when it is dangerous. As a result, many suffer life-threatening injuries and even die.
