[05-12-2021] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Killed After a Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50

One unidentified person was killed after a deadly multi-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 50 on Wednesday afternoon, May 12.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 50 near 59th Street.

A 1987 Honda Shadow crashed into a disabled 1971 Fiat that was blocking the slow lane.

Due to the severity of the impact, the rider was ejected from the Honda Shadow and landed across the highway, where a GMC SUV later struck him.

The motorcyclist was killed in the collision. The occupants of the GMC SUV reportedly sustained minor injuries.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident. The case is currently under investigation.
