[01-07-2021] San Diego County, CA – Fatal Motorcycle Accident in La Jolla Kills One

One unidentified motorcyclist was killed after a deadly traffic crash in La Jolla on Thursday afternoon, January 7.

The accident transpired around 1:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of Torrey Pines Road near La Jolla Shores Beach. The motorcyclist was initially traveling northbound on Torrey Pines Road when he suddenly lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a center divider.

The rider was then ejected from his 2019 Honda sportbike and landed on the other side of the street, where a passing southbound Acura SUV hit him.

The motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries from the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional details about the accident are unavailable at the moment.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident Investigation is Underway

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
