An unidentified person was killed after a fatal pedestrian accident in Chula Vista on Friday morning, May 14.

The accident transpired at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 5 near East Highway 54 in Chula Vista.

The pedestrian was reportedly struck by a passing vehicle for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.
