[04-22-2021] San Joaquin County, CA – One Person Hurt After a Pedestrian Accident in Stockton

One unidentified person was hurt after getting stuck by a passing vehicle in Stockton on early Thursday morning, April 22.

The accident took place at around 3:24 a.m. on Highway 4, near Union Point Marina Bar and Grill in Stockton. The pedestrian was struck by an unspecified vehicle for unknown reasons.

How the accident occurred and the reason why it happened has not been established. The pedestrian reportedly wound up in the nearby Middle River after the accident. The victim was seriously injured and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A man who exited the vehicle reportedly reeked of alcohol. Intoxication may have been a factor in the accident. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
