[12-07-2020] Shasta County, CA – One Person Killed After Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Redding

An unidentified man was killed after getting hit by a semi-truck in Redding on Monday morning, December 7. 

The deadly accident occurred on Interstate 5 Freeway near Cypress Avenue in Redding at approximately 5:10 a.m. 

The pedestrian was reportedly walking along Interstate 5 when a tractor-trailer suddenly hit him. The reason why the accident occurred has not been established. 

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries from the accident. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver that struck the victim was later identified as 43-year-old Guillermo Campos Jr. he remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities.
