Car accidents happen for a lot of different reasons. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, many of them are caused by another driver being negligent or irresponsible. There were many fatal accidents because of speeding drivers in 2018.

In 2017, Riverside alone recorded 2,119 injuries and deaths from motor vehicle accidents on surface streets, including Jurupa Avenue, Wells Avenue, Pierce Street, and, more commonly, neighboring freeways like the 91, 215, and 60.

Car accidents are mostly caused by drunk drivers, inattentive drivers, speeders, and persons who don’t respect any traffic laws at all.

These tragedies are exacerbated by the fact that most of them might have been avoided; about 80% of all traffic collisions are caused by distracted driving behavior.
