[03-29-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Man Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 180

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Highway 180 in Fresno on Saturday night.

According to CHP, a man tried to run across Highway 180 when he was hit by a dark blue or black pickup truck.

According to officers, the truck driver did not stop, render any kind of assistance, or even call 9-1-1 after the collision.

After the initial collision, investigators believe the man, who has yet to be identified, was struck by at least five other vehicles.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other drivers stayed behind and cooperated with officers throughout the investigation.

Officers are now on the lookout for the person responsible for the fatal collision, and the truck may have front-end damage.

There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
