[05-24-2023] Riverside County, CA – One Individual Injured After Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-15 in Lake Elsinore

One individual was injured in a multi-vehicle collision idn Lake Elsinore on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. on the southbound side of Interstate-15, just north of Railroad Canyon Road.

The collision occurred in the fast lane and involved a Nissan Pathfinder SUV, Nissan Sentra, a Ford F-250 pickup truck, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and a Toyota sedan. However, the events leading up to the crash were not disclosed.

The medical responders swiftly found one motorist with minor injuries. The injured individual was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment, while others involved did not require medical attention.

Dislodged debris from the collision scattered onto the lanes, leading an off-duty police officer to instruct the involved parties to move their vehicles to the center median for safety. Reports confirmed that only one car suffered notable damage.

The investigation is ongoing.
