[05-27-2022] San Diego County, CA - One Person Seriously Hurt After a Motorcycle Crash in Pacific BeachAn unidentified 51-year-old man was seriously hurt following a motorcycle crash in Pacific Beach on Friday afternoon, May 27, 2022.

The accident transpired at approximately 3:35 p.m. at Grand Avenue and Fanuel Street in Pacific Beach.

The victim was riding his motorcycle northbound on Fanuel Street when a southbound Ford Mustang that was attempting to turn left onto Grand Avenue suddenly struck the motorcycle rider.

According to the initial investigation, the Ford Mustang viololated the motorcyclist’s right of way. The Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider sustained multiple fractures and was seriously injured in the mishap. He was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

An active investigation of the collision is currently underway. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
