[09-15-2022] Monterey County, CA - Big Rig Truck Crashes on Highway Resulting in Road Closure Near GonzalezAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle crash between a white tow truck and an older Nissan Maxima resulted in injuries at an interchange in San Bernardino Tuesday morning, September 20, 2022.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the crash transpired at approximately 8:09 a.m. on southbound I-215 at the 210 freeway interchange.

A white Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) tow truck and a red Nissan Maxima sedan got into an accident.

The California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department went to the scene.

CHP says that the accident shut down both lanes of the highway. People had to use the middle line to get around the accident. Before the crash, the red Nissan might have been going too fast.

This caused the Nissan to lose control and crash into the back of the parked tow truck for no known reason. The crash caused the Nissan to stop working in both the fast and first lanes.

When the rescue crews arrived, they said they needed two ambulances. The CHP traffic log says that both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital by ground ambulances.
