[11-23-2022] 19-Year-Old Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision in OjaiAuthorities said a 19-year-old man was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Ojai on Wednesday evening, November 23, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:20 p.m. on Highway 150, also known as Baldwin Road, between Santa Ana and Burnham roads.

A Dodge Challenger traveling westbound reportedly crossed the double-yellow lines and veered laterally into the path of an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado truck.

Officials stated that it was unclear exactly why the Challenger changed lanes, but the vehicle was hit on the right.

The Ventura County Firefighters arrived on the site. The Dodge’s driver, Eduardo B., was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was declared dead. He was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.

Both the Silverado’s 59-year-old driver and his teen passenger from Santa Maria were wearing seat belts and had no reported injuries.

The CHP had not yet established if drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.
