An unidentified woman was killed following a deadly rear-end crash in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, December 8, 2021. The deadly crash transpired at approximately 2:48 p.m. on Highway 178 and Union Avenue in Bakersfield.
The woman was driving her sedan westbound on Highway 178 when she rear-ended a pickup truck for unclear reasons.
Due to the severity of the impact, the woman’s sedan started to spin out of control. The female driver was eventually ejected in the process.
The female driver was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been disclosed.
The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the crash. He remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.
Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the crash.
