[09-07-2021] Kern County, CA – One Person Killed After a Two-Vehicle Crash in Buttonwillow

A 32-year-old man identified as Nealson Carlos H. was killed after a fatal rear-end crash in Buttonwillow on Tuesday morning, September 7.

The accident occurred on Interstate 5, just north of Seventh Standard Road in Buttonwillow, at around 7:20 a.m.

A Toyota Tacoma was driving in the slow lane on Interstate 5 at approximately 645 when a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup suddenly rear-ended the Toyota Tacoma.

Due to the severity of the impact, the Dodge pickup veered off the road and overturned. The pickup truck driver was then ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s unclear whether other people were injured in the mishap. Additional information about the accident is currently unavailable. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the crash.
