[09-24-2020] Los Angeles, CA – One Person Dead After a Fatal Accident in Gardena

A 19-year-old girl identified as Ceilo Romero Rojas killed after getting struck by a vehicle in southwest Los Angeles on Thursday, September 24.

The fatal accident occurred near Western and Normandie Avenue at approximately 3:40 a.m. The victim was riding a 2005 Toyota on the roadway when it became disabled in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes following a crash. She and the driver got out of the car and went towards the right shoulder of the freeway then went back to their vehicle to recover personal items.

That was when the 19-year-old victim was struck by a 2004 Toyota passing through the roadway. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The reason why the Toyota struck the victim is currently unclear. Two other victims were rushed to the hospital. They sustained minor to moderate injuries from the accident.
