[05-06-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – 1 Killed, 5 Injured After a Fatal Car Accident in Palmdale

One unidentified person was killed while five others were hurt after a two-vehicle collision in Palmdale on Thursday morning, May 6.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident took place on 50th Street, East north of Avenue P. in Palmdale.

A southbound 1998 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Micahel R. was traveling on 50th street when, for unclear reasons, he veered into the path of oncoming traffic.

The Suburban was then sideswiped by a northbound 2020 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Lurlene S. The Chevrolet Malibu then crashed into a southbound Toyota Yaris driven by Richard G. after the initial collision.

A 66-year-old passenger of the Malibu was killed in the accident. He was sitting in the front seat at the time of the accident.

The Malibu driver and two of her passengers were seriously injured. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Suburban and the Toyota Yaris driver were also injured from the collision. They were also rushed to the hospital.
