An unidentified 24-year-old woman was killed after a deadly DUI wrong-way collision in Fontana on Sunday morning, March 7.

[03-07-2021] San Bernardino County, CA - Wrong-Way DUI Crash In Fontana Kills OneThe deadly collision transpired at approximately 1:50 a.m. in the area of Valley Boulevard near Cypress Avenue. A Chevrolet Colorado was traveling eastbound on the westbound lanes. The Chevrolet Colorado then later collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Corolla.

Due to the severity of the impact, the 24-year-old female passenger in the involved vehicles was ejected onto the roadway. The 24-year-old woman was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Three other people, including the Chevrolet driver, were injured as a result of the crash.

The Chevrolet Colorado driver was later identified as 34-year-old Dina Mariesol Mora M. Authorities determined that she was driving while under the influence at the time of the accident. She was arrested on charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case. Witnesses that can give additional information about the accident are urged to contact officer Papez at CHP’s San Bernardino office at 909-383-4247.
