[08-17-2021] San Mateo County, CA – Fatal Train Accident in Burlingame Kills One Driver

An unidentified driver was killed after a Caltrain struck his vehicle in Burlingame on Tuesday afternoon, August 17.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident took place at the Broadway grade crossing in Burlingame at around 4:35 p.m.

A Caltrans train with 145 passengers struck the vehicle for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.
