An unidentified man was killed after a deadly pedestrian accident in Vacaville on early Friday morning, July 23.

[07-23-2021] Solano County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly Pedestrian Accident in VacavilleThe fatal accident took place eastbound Interstate 80 west of Nut Tree Road in Vacaville at approximately 3:18 a.m. The victim was reportedly struck by a passing 2001 Acura under unclear circumstances. How the accident occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.

Emergency personnel later responded to the scene and found the victim unconscious on the roadway. Unfortunately, the victim was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Acura driver sustained serious injuries in the accident.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 were shut down for several hours to give way for the investigation and the cleanup. Additional details about the accident are unavailable at the moment.
