[07-13-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle at Vernon Ave. and South Figueroa St.

A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, July 13, 2025.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred at around 12:50 a.m. at the intersection of Vernon Avenue and South Figueroa Street.

Investigators said the vehicle struck the bicyclist before colliding with three parked cars. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.

Police reported that no other individuals were injured in the crash. The driver involved remained at the scene, though it was not immediately clear whether any charges would be filed.

The crash remains under investigation.
