[09-16-2026] San Diego County, CA – 23-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With SUV in Sunset Cliffs

A 23-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with an SUV in the Sunset Cliffs area of San Diego on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after noon at Catalina Boulevard and Varona Street.

Police said the man was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson northbound on Catalina Boulevard when he collided with an eastbound 2016 Jeep Patriot that crossed into his path at Varona Street.

Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities withheld his identity pending notification of his family.

San Diego police said DUI was not a factor in the collision.
