[09-28-2021] Sacramento County, CA – 4 People Taken To Hospital After 5-Car Crash On Highway 99

Just before 6 a.m., an accident occurred on the northbound side of the highway near Twin Cities Road.

Four individuals were transported to nearby hospitals early Tuesday morning, September 28, 202, from a five-vehicle accident on Highway 99 near Galt.

The circumstances of the individuals affected were not immediately known.

Highway 99 has returned to commuters after a five-car collision momentarily blocked the northbound lanes.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). There was no word on what caused the tragedy as of 9 a.m.

No further information was provided according to Dan Quiggle, Deputy Fire Chief with the Cosumnes Fire Department.
