An unidentified 83-year-old man was killed after a deadly two-vehicle collision in El Cajon on Saturday evening, October 2.
The fatal crash transpired at approximately 5:54 p.m. at the intersection of Broad and Graves Avenue in El Cajon. A dark-colored sedan was reportedly struck by a white pickup truck under unclear circumstances. How the accident occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.
An 83-year-old passenger in the sedan was immediately taken to an area hospital but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The 86-year-old female driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries while the male driver of the truck was uninjured in the mishap.
Information about the accident is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the collision.
