A man in his 50s riding an e-bike suffered serious injuries following a crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach on Monday night, January 12, 2026.

According to the Hermosa Beach Police Department, the collision occurred at around 7:00 p.m. near the 1800 block of Pacific Coast Highway.

Police said the e-bike rider was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in serious condition.

Investigators determined that the crash happened when a driver swerved into the center lane to avoid stopped traffic and struck the victim.

Authorities confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with their investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
