[01-27-2026] Santa Clara County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in San Jose

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in San Jose on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026.

According to the San Jose Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene after they received the reported collision around 11:19 a.m. near the intersection of Story Road and King Road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said that the driver involved stopped following the crash and spoke with investigators.

The incident remains under investigation.
