[02-24-2026] Alameda County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck by Tesla on Doolittle Drive in San Leandro

A man unloading a truck was killed when he was struck by a Tesla involved in a collision with a Dodge Ram truck on Doolittle Drive in San Leandro on Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026.

According to police, the collision occurred around 11:27 a.m. when a white Tesla Model and a red Dodge Ram were traveling southbound in adjacent lanes. The crash caused the Tesla to careen into the rear of a semi-truck that was parked in the turn lane, where the man was unloading the truck.

The victim was taken to the hospital but later died. His identity has not been released pending confirmation and next of kin notification.

Neither driver was injured, and both remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. The cause of the initial collision is still under investigation, though no impairment of either driver is suspected.

The investigation remains ongoing.
