A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Palm Desert, Riverside County, on Saturday night, March 7, 2026.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the incident at the intersection of 42nd Avenue and Cook Street around 8:03 p.m.
Officials reported that the pedestrian sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No arrests have been made.
