[03-12-2026] Orange County, CA – Elderly Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Electric Bicycle in Seal Beach

An elderly woman was seriously injured after being struck by a juvenile riding a Surron electric bicycle in Seal Beach, Orange County, on Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2026.

According to the Seal Beach Police Department, the incident was reported near the intersection of Main Street and Ocean Avenue.

Authorities stated that the juvenile rider collided with the woman as she was crossing the street. The woman suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials said the juvenile rider was not injured. Authorities have not released the minor’s identity.

The Seal Beach Police Department Serious Traffic Accident Response (STAR) Team is investigating the incident.
