A pedestrian accident can leave you feeling confused and overwhelmed. Taking the right steps afterward is essential to safeguard your health, protect your legal rights, and strengthen your compensation claim. Follow these recommended steps to ensure the best possible outcome:

  1. Stay Calm And Check For Injuries — Remain at the scene and assess yourself and others for injuries. Try to stay composed and focus on ensuring everyone’s safety.
  2. Call 911 — Report the accident immediately. Law enforcement officers will document the scene and file an official police report, which will be valuable for your claim.
  3. Exchange Information — Gather the names, phone numbers, and insurance details of the drivers involved. Take photos of the vehicles, license plates, and any visible damages or injuries.
