[04-04-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck By Two Vehicles in Barstow

A 60-year-old man, identified as James C., died after being struck by two vehicles in Barstow on Saturday evening, April 4, 2026.

According to Barstow Police Department Capt. Daniel Arthur, the incident occurred at around 8:35 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Main Street, between Muriel Drive and Yucca Avenue.

The victim was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by two eastbound vehicles. He was not within a crosswalk at the time of the incident. The pedestrian died from his injuries.

Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. DUI was not initially suspected.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence, including seeking witnesses and video footage.
